Can Strategic Marketing Alliances Work For You?

Have you ever taken a look at your industry to determine if there are any potential strategic marketing alliances you could establish? A look in which you force yourself to look outside the box.  Often many business executives look at just their niche within an industry without looking at different companies that target the same audience.

For example, our company recently introduced one of our clients, a developer of point of sale software, to a company that distributes retail store fixtures and displays.  In this particular instance, a strategic marketing alliance makes sense because both companies target small to mid size retail businesses.  In this alliance both companies agreed to use their own websites and customer lists to generate qualified leads for the other partner. And the best part about this strategic alliance… not only did it lead to sales for both vendors but there is no cost to either company while operate the marketing alliance.
